With the recommendation of the COE Graduate Coordinators
Council and approval of Dean Pius Egbelu, the College of
Engineering is proud to announce the establishment of the
"College of Engineering, Exemplary Dissertation Award"
which will be recognized at the May Commencement Exercises
every year. The Award, which consists of a plaque, will
be given to individuals that have been selected in the College
of Engineering as the finalists for the LSU Distinguished
Dissertation Award. The number of finalists depends on the
number of doctoral degrees that were conferred in the previous
year. The awardees will be recognized in the COE Annual
Newsletter, Engineering News, and in the "Louisiana
State University, College of Engineering, Faculty Areas
of Specialization" brochure.
