Incoming Freshman
Pegues Scholarships
Eligibility for
Scholarships:

To
be eligible for a college scholarship, new freshmen
students must have completed the LSU application for
admission, have sent at least one set of ACT or SAT
scores to LSU, and have sent their current high school
transcript to LSU by December 15th.

Students
are required to indicate Engineering as their intended
major on the Admissions application.

Students
who plan to major in engineering will be ranked by the
following formula: 30% Math ACT +30% Science ACT + 40%
GPA. SAT scores will also be considered. Math and science
scores must be from the same test. Based on these results,
students may be invited to submit an application.
Pegues
Scholarship Requirements:
- The student must be
an Engineering Major and a full time student (minimum
12 hours per semester).
- These scholarships are
$500/year ( $250.00 per semester) for the freshman year.
The number of scholarships varies each year depending
on availability of funding.
- If the student continues
to follow an engineering curriculum, a recipient can
maintain the scholarship for a total of four years (renewable
based on student's grades and availability of funding)
and can increase the scholarship to $1,000.00 per year
or $500.00 per semester.
The Craft & Hawkins Petroleum
Engineering Department also offer separate freshman scholarships.

Tranfer Students
Transfer students must be enrolled in the College of Engineering
for at least one semester to be eligible for college scholarships.
